Good day astronomers,

I do hope this finds you well and enjoying the sunshine. For those I did not reply to any sooner, I apologize. As you all know, the COVID19 has forced the club to cancel all monthly meetings until further notice. Our conference room at the librairy does not meet the minimum distancing protocol (2m) for all of us. We are now searching for a better observing site (darker) and we will keep you informed of any development regarding this matter. During summer most of us have put observing on the back burner. Hopefully every one had a chance to observe C/2020 F3 (NEOWISE) last month. For those who missed the show, do not worry, it will come back in 6766 years. 🙂

I would like to take this opportunity to remind you to please send an email to the members if you intend to spend part of the night at our observing site in Comox. It goes without saying that everyone must respect social distancing. You can also wear a mask as added precaution. Lastly, bring your own eyepieces if you wish to take a look into someone else’s telescope.

The club welcomes all your comments and suggestions. It is YOUR club.

Clear skies,

Francois.
